THINK Gas, one of India’s leading City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies, is accelerating the nation’s transition towards low-emission, long-haul heavy-duty transport with the strategic rollout of six new LNG filling stations. Following the successful operation of its flagship LNG station in Bagroda, Bhopal, the company is now expanding its LNG infrastructure with three new LNG fuelling points at Anantapur, Nellore (both in Andhra Pradesh), and Vallam (in Tamil Nadu’s Kanchipuram District). These stations are expected to be operational by September 2025.
Additionally, three more LNG fuelling hubs will be commissioned by December 2025, further reinforcing THINK Gas’s commitment to enabling clean mobility for long-distance logistics. The newly launched stations are integrated with the company’s existing LCNG stations (Liquefied to Compressed Natural Gas), enabling seamless fuel distribution, better infrastructure utilisation, and more efficient service delivery to fleet operators and logistics providers.
“India is entering a new era of energy transformation, and at THINK Gas, we are proud to be at the forefront of that journey,” said Mr. Abhilesh Gupta, Managing Director & CEO, THINK Gas. “The addition of six new LNG filling hubs to our LCNG network marks a major milestone in our mission to accelerate the adoption of low-emission fuels in the heavy commercial vehicle segment, while also supporting economic growth by offering fleet operators a cost-effective and sustainable fuel alternative.”
THINK Gas currently operates 18 LCNG stations across its authorised geographical areas. These stations are now being upgraded to include LNG dispensing capabilities, supporting India’s growing demand for cleaner long-haul transport solutions. The expansion comes at a pivotal time, as India aims to increase the share of natural gas in its energy mix from approximately 6% to 15% by 2030, in line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision. Scalable LNG infrastructure will be central to this shift. With supportive government policies, increasing OEM participation, and rising decarbonisation pressure on the logistics sector, fleet operators are rapidly transitioning from diesel to LNG—attracted by its lower emissions profile and favourable operating economics.
THINK Gas operates India’s largest LNG carrier fleet, comprising 61 specialised transport trucks, ensuring a reliable nationwide supply of clean fuel. Supported by a robust logistics backbone and a growing network of stations, the company is uniquely positioned to serve long-haul freight corridors and industrial hubs efficiently and at scale. The new LNG hubs will enable vehicles to refuel seamlessly along critical national routes, reducing reliance on traditional fuels and significantly cutting emissions.
Among THINK Gas’s noteworthy innovations is its Net Metering service for LNG, which allows logistics operators to monitor fuel consumption in real time—offering transparency, cost control, and efficiency. This feature is especially valuable to companies focused on ESG goals and emissions accountability.
Further enhancing its sustainability credentials, THINK Gas stations are equipped with advanced Boil-off Gas (BoG) management systems, which prevent methane leakage and maximise fuel efficiency. The company is also collaborating with leading OEMs, retrofitters, logistics players, and transporters to accelerate LNG truck adoption and ensure a balanced rollout between vehicle availability and fuelling infrastructure.
Through this bold infrastructure expansion, THINK Gas is not only scaling up its LNG network but actively shaping the future of clean mobility in India. By enabling broad access to LNG across key freight corridors and industrial regions, the company is driving a major shift toward sustainable, low-emission logistics. With ongoing collaborations along high-demand routes such as the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Eastern Freight Corridor, and the Southern economic belt, THINK Gas is firmly positioned as a catalyst in India’s green freight transition.
