Axle and transmission supplier BRIST has revolutionised airport transport with the introduction of the IDS CEN 120-225 and IS 120-225 axles. Designed specifically for airport buses, these axles improve performance and manoeuvrability in high-traffic environments such as terminals and loading platforms.
The IDS CEN 120-225 offers an innovative 42° inner wheel turning angle, facilitating agile movements in tight spaces. It also features two reduction stages to optimise weight distribution and ensure smoother rides, essential for passenger comfort. This model can support loads of up to 12 tonnes, making it a robust solution for heavy transport needs. Meanwhile, the IS 120-225 stands out for widening the bus aisle to 1,112 mm, increasing passenger space without compromising stability.
This axle combination is currently in operation on BMC Neoport buses at renowned airports such as Istanbul, Saudi Al-Amad and Hazret-Sultan International. This development reinforces BRIST’s position as a leader in electric mobility and sustainable transport, adapting to the demands of a market that prioritises efficiency and comfort in the airport environment.
