Innovation in electrification: CeTrax 2 dual transforms commercial vehicles

CeTrax 2 dual is presented as a modular and integrated central electric propulsion unit, designed specifically for heavy-duty trucks. This innovative solution allows original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to offer vehicles that combine internal combustion and electric engines on a single platform. Its compact and lightweight design optimizes power and torque, providing powerful acceleration and smooth torque delivery.

With a continuous power of 380 kW and a peak torque of 24,700 Nm, the CeTrax 2 dual includes two 800-volt silicon carbide (SiC) inverters and two electric fork motors. In addition, it features an efficiency-enhancing three-speed transmission and a state-of-the-art power shift strategy.

This system not only meets cyber and functional safety requirements, but also enables zero emissions for battery and fuel cell electric vehicles. The unit optimizes the driving experience, offering quiet and smooth operation, and its high electrical efficiency helps extend the operating range of commercial vehicles.
