This passenger seat lift system pioneers a new direction in accessibility assistance. Traditional wheelchair lifts require the allocation of dedicated wheelchair spaces—resulting in a reduction of 4 to 6 passenger seats—and leave valuable space unused when no wheelchair passengers are present. To address this, we have developed this specialized device specifically for passenger coaches: the seat first lowers, then rotates outward, descending further until it is nearly level with the ground. Passengers can take their seat directly from outside the vehicle; the device then smoothly lifts and rotates the seat back into the cabin, bringing it level with the floor. Once installed, no dedicated wheelchair space is required, allowing the vehicle to retain its original seating capacity. The rotation direction can be configured for either clockwise or counter-clockwise movement and is controlled via a wired remote.
