For buses, to meet the needs of an aging society, the whole vehicle uses the Molead high-integration e-axle + short rear overhang technical solution to achieve a fully-flat low-floor design. This can effectively avoid the risk of passengers, especially the elderly, falling and bumping. The standing area of the whole vehicle is larger. Taking a 9-meter bus as an example, the low floor area reaches the industry's largest 7.7㎡. It is 11% larger than the low floor area of a 10.5-meter bus using a central-drive solution and 20% better than that of competitors with the same length.
For coaches, the use of high-integration e-axles can meet the market's demand for large luggage compartments. Taking a 9-meter coach as an example, the chassis space is saved by 30%, and the luggage compartment volume reaches 4.8m³, the largest in the industry for the same length, which is 65% better than that of competitors and can accommodate 68 20-inch suitcases.
2. Low energy consumption
Electricity consumption is a major part of the customer's operating costs. Molead has taken the lead in the industry in applying and promoting simple transmission technology and has worked with top-international suppliers of oil-seals, bearings, lubricating oils, and other components to develop low-friction specialized products, making the transmission system more efficient. Taking a 10.5-meter bus as an example, the range is increased by 5%, and the customer can save 15,000 kWh over one million kilometers.
3. Super quietness:
The reducer is forwardly designed for the whole working conditions based on the vehicle-road spectrum, and uses self-developed and self-made high-precision cylindrical gears. The gear-shaping machining accuracy reaches level DIN4, which is 2-3 levels higher than that of the industry and is more suitable for the comfort requirements of NEV working conditions. It is matched with a low-noise flat wire motor, to achieve the test bench noise level of the e-axle is more than 5dB(A) better than that of international competitors. Taking a 10.5-meter bus as an example, the vehicle noise is ≤67dB(A), which is more than 3dB(A) better than that of China's competitors.
4. High comfort
The suspension system can be equipped with our company's low-stiffness four-air-bags and electronically-controlled shock-absorbers, to achieve dynamic damping adjustment, and better filtering of road-bumps, providing passengers with a smoother and more comfortable riding experience.
