Toshiba Corporation has been recognized for the third consecutive year as a “Supplier Engagement Leader” by CDP, the global non-profit tracking corporate climate action. The 2024 Supplier Engagement Assessment evaluated companies on how effectively they collaborate with suppliers to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the value chain.
In addition to its recent placement on CDP’s “A List” for Climate Change and Water Security, Toshiba was awarded CDP’s highest score in five key areas: risk management, governance, supplier engagement, Scope 3 emissions, and target-setting.
Toshiba’s climate strategy includes reducing GHG emissions by 70% across its value chain by FY2030 and achieving full carbon neutrality by FY2050. A major focus is Scope 3 Category 1 emissions—from purchased goods and services—which the company addresses through supplier evaluations aligned with its Green Procurement Guidelines and direct engagement on emissions reductions.
This recognition reinforces Toshiba’s commitment to transparency and sustainable sourcing, values increasingly prioritized by OEMs and bodybuilders in the mobility sector.
