TDK Corporation has launched the MAF0603GWY series, an ultra comultra-compactpact noise suppression filter designed to improve signal integrity in high frequency communication environments.
The components measure 0.6 × 0.3 × 0.3 mm and are engineered to suppress electromagnetic noise in the 5 GHz and above frequency range, where interference can affect communication performance and signal reliability.
The filters use a newly developed low distortion ferrite material, which reduces performance variation and minimizes impact on signal quality. Compared with conventional chip bead solutions, the design maintains audio signal integrity while delivering high noise attenuation, with impedance reaching up to 3220 Ω at 5 GHz.
Lower resistance also reduces signal attenuation, enabling a wider dynamic range.
While initially developed for compact electronic devices, such filters can be relevant in vehicle communication systems, where increasing connectivity through Wi Fi, Bluetooth, and 5G requires effective noise suppression without compromising signal quality.
TDK continues to expand its portfolio of electromagnetic compatibility components for high frequency applications across connected systems.
