We are proud and excited to announce that Imagry has received the first ever autonomous bus permit awarded by Israel’s Ministry of Transportation. The permit was granted following the successful results of rigorous NCAP safety testing (the first instance in the world of such a feat using a bus). This is a major milestone for Imagry, as it paves the way for L4 autonomous buses in Israel in 2024.
We look forward to testing the bus at Sheba Medical Center, and we are confident that our HD-mapless, self-sufficient, and cost-effective solution will continue to pioneer the autonomous driving revolution.
As part of the Israeli autonomous driving regulation, which Imagry was requested to compose along with Mobileye, Yandex, and the government institutions, the bus passed the NCAP safety standard (the first and only autonomous bus worldwide to do so).
Our appreciation goes out to the talented and dedicated team at Imagry, as well as to our partners at the Sheba Medical Center, Israel Innovation Authority, Israel Ministry of Transport, Ayalon Highways, Nateev Express Public Transportation Co Ltd., UBSI, Matrix, and MAGAL, all of whom worked hard to make this happen.
