Eberspaecher has introduced a new generation of Cooltronic parking coolers designed to provide engine independent cabin cooling for commercial vehicle drivers during rest periods.
The expanded range includes the Cooltronic 2000 G3 Hatch and Cooltronic 1600 G3 Hatch models for 12 and 24 volt vehicle applications. According to the company, the systems provide cooling capacities of up to 2,000 W and 1,600 W respectively while supporting continuous cabin climate control in high ambient temperatures.

The roof mounted systems are designed for integration into the vehicle roof hatch and can be installed as ready to fit units using vehicle specific installation kits. Eberspaecher states that the compact units weigh approximately 31 kilograms and feature dimensions of 850 x 650 x 168 millimeters.
The Cooltronic systems operate independently from the vehicle engine, eliminating the need for idling during cabin cooling. This approach is intended to reduce fuel consumption, operating costs and CO₂ emissions while supporting compliance with anti idling regulations. An integrated undervoltage protection system also helps preserve battery capacity for engine starting.

Additional features include inverter technology for smoother and more energy efficient operation, as well as low noise performance designed to improve driver comfort during rest periods. The systems also include radio remote control and touch display interfaces for cabin temperature adjustment.
The new Cooltronic models are available globally.
