Applics Studio is MRS Electronic's new development environment for programming, configuring, and diagnosing control units in vehicles and mobile machines. Its aim is to simplify the programming of controllers that work with CAN, LIN, or input and output signals (I/O), even with little prior knowledge. The software offers an intuitive user interface, supports graphical programming in accordance with IEC 61131-3, and enables diagnostics via CAN, LIN, or J1939. MRS Electronics says Applics Studio is suitable for both development engineers and service applications in the field.
According to MES Electronic Applics Studio is replacing the previously used Developers Studio. Until now, Developers Studio was primarily used for programming 8-bit and 16-bit controllers and gateways. From now on, all of these MRS products - regardless of their processor architecture - will be programmed using Applics Studio. MRS Electronic states in their press release that the highlights of the new tool are: Graphical programming with function blocks (IEC 61131-3) or in C; diagnostic, flash, and test functions; fast programming and flexible adaptation in the field; full support for CAN, LIN, J1939, and more; central platform for development, commissioning, and support. Also user variables can be created for use in graphical programming; simple configuration of CAN telegrams and data points for CAN and CAN FD; Individual renaming of module pins for a better overview; import and export of SYM and DBC; custom graphical blocks can be created with C Code and managed in libraries.
