LAMILUX Composites GmbH will present its portfolio of fibre-reinforced composite materials for commercial vehicle, bus and last-mile applications at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, from 15 to 20 September.
The company will showcase material solutions for vehicle construction, with a focus on lightweight design, mechanical strength, durability, hygiene and insulation performance.
One of the main exhibits will be a demonstrator box body for dry freight and temperature-controlled transport. The demonstrator is intended to show how different composite materials can be adapted to specific requirements in cargo and refrigerated logistics applications. These requirements include low weight, high mechanical resistance, external weather resistance, hygienic surfaces and thermal insulation.
LAMILUX will also present several material technologies for high-performance vehicle construction. These include LAMILUX SUNSATION, a GRP top layer with increased UV resistance, LAMILUX High Impact for impact-resistant lightweight structures, LAMILUX AntiBac for hygiene-sensitive surfaces and LAMILUX Anti Slip for flooring applications.
Fibre-reinforced composites can support weight reduction in commercial vehicles without compromising strength or durability. Lower vehicle weight can contribute to reduced energy consumption and improved operational efficiency, particularly in transport applications where payload, insulation and long-term material resistance are important.
For bus and coach applications, these materials are relevant to body panels, interior surfaces, flooring, luggage compartment structures and insulated vehicle components. The solutions are also applicable to commercial vehicle body construction and temperature-controlled transport.
