Würth Elektronik has introduced the WSEN PDMS, a highly accurate differential pressure sensor designed for integration into HVAC systems, air flow monitoring and filter status detection.
The sensor delivers an accuracy of ±1 mbar with 16 bit resolution and supports a voltage range from 3.0 V to 5.5 V. It is compatible with I²C, SPI and analog interfaces, enabling integration into a wide range of vehicle control units and embedded systems.
Two housing variants are available, with vertical straight nozzles for pressure adapters and horizontal barbed nozzles for tube connections. This flexibility supports system integration across different vehicle layouts and air management architectures.

The WSEN PDMS provides calibrated differential pressure data with optional temperature output and operates in environments from -25°C to +85°C. Optional CRC support enhances communication reliability for safety critical applications.
The sensor is based on the WSEN PDUS platform and is suited for applications such as HVAC control, air filter monitoring and leak detection, all relevant for maintaining air quality and system performance in buses and coaches.
Evaluation boards and a software development kit are available to support rapid integration and testing.
