Imagry and eVersum have announced a strategic partnership to integrate autonomous driving technology into full sized electric buses for public transport operations in Europe and Japan.
Under the agreement, Imagry’s AI based autonomous driving system will be embedded into eVersum’s M3 category electric bus platforms, supporting both right hand and left hand drive configurations. The buses are offered in 6.9 m, 8.4 m, and 9.9 m variants and are pre certified for WVTA and GSR2 compliance, enabling deployment across multiple regulatory environments.

The partnership targets the growing demand for safe, reliable, and scalable public transport solutions amid an increasing shortage of professional drivers. According to industry estimates, the global driver shortfall currently exceeds 16 percent and continues to rise annually, creating operational constraints for public transport operators.
Imagry’s autonomous driving solution is based on HD mapless perception, motion planning, and vehicle control, allowing location independent operation without reliance on pre mapped routes. This approach is designed to reduce deployment complexity and accelerate rollout timelines across cities, campuses, airports, and controlled operational zones.

eVersum’s electric bus platforms are developed from the ground up to be AD ready, incorporating x by wire systems and modular architectures to support autonomous operation. The integrated solution is positioned as a turnkey offering for public transportation operators and city authorities seeking to expand service coverage, increase route frequency, and extend operating hours while managing labor constraints.
The first eVersum electric bus equipped with Imagry autonomous driving technology is scheduled for deployment in Japan in early 2026.
