BRUSA HyPower AG is developing a fuel cell interface for cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG as part of the NextGen fuel cell system, which is scheduled for series production toward the end of the decade. The system is designed for use in heavy duty freight and passenger transport applications, as well as stationary energy generation.
The fuel cell interface functions as a high voltage DC DC converter within the fuel cell system. It converts the fuel cell output voltage to the vehicle’s high voltage grid, monitors system operation, enables safe disconnection from the high voltage network when required, and supplies power to high voltage components within the fuel cell architecture.
As part of the BRUSA Group, BRUSA HyPower AG specializes in power electronics solutions for electric and hydrogen mobility, including DC DC converters for fuel cell systems. The company brings extensive expertise in high performance power electronics to the collaboration, supporting the further industrialization of cellcentric’s fuel cell technology.

Cellcentric is a joint venture between Daimler Truck and the Volvo Group and is responsible for the entire fuel cell value chain for heavy duty commercial vehicles and additional applications. The company aims to establish itself as a leading global manufacturer of fuel cell systems, contributing to climate neutral transportation.
Through its cooperation with BRUSA HyPower, cellcentric strengthens its global supplier network, including access to manufacturing and development capabilities in Europe, the United States, and Asia. The partnership supports scalability and regional market coverage as fuel cell powered heavy duty vehicles move closer to series production.
