The FCPM C100 is a hydrogen-based energy generation system designed to be integrated into electric buses ranging from 12 to 18 meters in length. The module delivers approximately 100 kW of power and is part of a broader portfolio that includes higher-capacity versions such as the C190 and C300, intended for more demanding transport applications.
The system features a compact design, with a height of around 400 millimeters, allowing installation on the roof of the vehicle. Bosch has developed the module as a standardized unit, with CAN-based communication interfaces and integrated diagnostic capabilities, facilitating its integration into different electric bus platforms.
The FCPM C100 is not a complete propulsion system, but rather an energy generation module that produces electricity from hydrogen through an electrochemical process. The generated electricity is used to supply the vehicle’s electrical system.
With this launch, Bosch expands its hydrogen solutions portfolio for the transport sector, adding a dedicated option for urban buses within its range of fuel cell modules.
