At the event “Latam Mobility & Net Zero: Mexico 2024,” Blink Charging, a global leader in charging solutions, reaffirmed its commitment to the transition to electromobility in Latin America. Patricia Baires, business development manager for the region, emphasized the pioneering role of the fleet sector in the adoption of electric vehicles in Mexico. Blink’s charging points, installed in strategic areas such as shopping centers and hotels, have optimized the charging experience for users, allowing them to take advantage of their stay times and building customer loyalty.
Blink Charging’s analysis of the charging infrastructure reveals that most users prefer to recharge their vehicles in frequently used places, with 89% doing so in spaces such as shopping centers. In addition, sustainability stands out as a decisive factor for 84% of consumers when choosing charging services, according to Baires. These factors not only reinforce Blink's vision of the importance of the accessibility of its stations, but also demonstrate the positive impact of charging infrastructure in commercial spaces, increasing the value of the properties that implement them.
Regarding specific benefits for electric fleets, Baires highlighted that the change to electric vehicles can reduce maintenance costs by 50% and decrease fuel use by up to 70%. Additionally, 73% of consumers value that companies opt for sustainable technologies, which drives greater compensation towards those companies committed to sustainability. Blink Charging offers comprehensive advice, covering everything from choosing the necessary hardware and software to the appropriate charging connectors and protocols for each client, facilitating an installation adapted to the needs of each space and country.
Blink Charging celebrates having reached 100,000 chargers sold globally, highlighting its success in its 15 years of experience in charging infrastructure. This milestone symbolizes the company's commitment to the energy transition and reinforces its position as a leader in sustainable mobility at a global level, especially in the growing Latin American market.
