Rubber sheets are flat, flexible, vulcanised rubber in uniform thickness. These are mainly used for gaskets, anti-slip flooring, vibration mounts, oil and temperature-resistant pads, electrical-thermal insulation, lining of corrosive metals, water reservoirs, rooftops, cushioning pads, sound damping, traction control on slopes, seals for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, etc. The manufacturing process of rubber sheets involves the vulcanisation of homogeneous compounds using a rotary curing press, ensuring uniform thickness throughout the material. Uniformity in thickness is important for rubber sheeting because deviations above tolerances can lead to joint failure due to uneven contact between the two mating surfaces.
