At the eighth edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE), ACTIA Group China captured the attention of manufacturers, operators, and visitors by showcasing its PowerDrive Cortex intelligent cockpit for the first time—a solution designed to completely transform the interaction between driver and vehicle. The French company, known for its long-standing expertise in automotive electronics and software, brought to Shanghai a proposal rooted in the concept of software-defined vehicles, a trend that is reshaping the rules of modern commercial transportation.
PowerDrive Cortex was introduced as a highly integrated system in which every element of the cockpit works in perfect synchronicity. Its design adopts an approach that prioritizes safety, ergonomics, and operational efficiency, creating a more intuitive and connected driving environment. One of the features that drew the most attention was its synchronized adjustment mechanism with the steering wheel, a development that improves driver posture and facilitates access to essential information during vehicle operation.
This intelligent cockpit reflects not only technological innovation but also a strategic vision: transforming buses and coaches into safer, more comfortable, and more modern mobility environments. The seamless integration between software and hardware allows the system to evolve over time, enabling new functions, performance enhancements, and updated capabilities without replacing physical components—an essential advantage for operators looking to optimize costs and extend the lifespan of their fleets.
Zhang Xiaoping, General Manager of ACTIA China, emphasized during the event that CIIE serves as a bridge connecting global innovation with the fast-evolving Chinese market, adding that the company is ready to strengthen its presence in the country through solutions that accelerate transport digitalization. From the French perspective, the France-China Economic and Trade Promotion Association celebrated the debut as an example of technological cooperation and a clear demonstration of how new solutions can promote safer, more human-centered, and more sustainable transportation.
The presentation of the PowerDrive Cortex arrives with strong international validation. During Busworld Europe 2025, the cockpit stood out among industry innovations, earning an award that highlighted its contribution to the digital transformation of buses and coaches. This recognition, paired with its nomination in the event’s digital category, positions ACTIA as a key player in the development of next-generation technologies for commercial vehicles.
With this proposal, ACTIA introduces not just a product but a new standard for the future of professional driving. A cockpit where technology is no longer an accessory but an essential ally for enhancing safety, decision-making, and the overall driving experience on every journey.
