Yuanhan Materials, a member of the E Ink Group, has expanded its portfolio of advanced bonding materials with a self-developed solvent-free OCA, optically clear adhesive, for display applications.
The material has already been deployed in multiple commercial products and is being evaluated with brand customers and module manufacturers for next-generation display applications.
OCA is used to bond display panels with cover lenses. Its optical properties help reduce reflection, improve light transmission and support image clarity.
In display modules, the bonding material also contributes to mechanical reliability, durability and manufacturing quality. This is especially relevant for applications where thin form factors, stable optical performance and long-term reliability are required.
Yuanhan Materials produces its OCA using a solvent-free process. Compared with conventional solvent-based processes, this can help reduce volatile organic compound, VOC, emissions during production.
The solvent-free approach supports the development of lower-impact manufacturing processes for display modules and related electronic components.
The company offers OCA products with thicknesses ranging from 25 to 300 μm. This allows the bonding material to be adapted to different display sizes, module structures and application requirements.
Yuanhan Materials works across material formulation, module development and process validation to optimize bonding quality and production efficiency.
The material is being developed for display applications including ePaper, consumer electronics, industrial devices, automotive displays and emerging display technologies.
As displays become thinner, more durable and more energy efficient, optical bonding materials are becoming a more important part of display module design and production.
Yuanhan Materials has established volume production capability for its solvent-free OCA products. The company is working with brand customers, module makers and ecosystem partners through product evaluation and joint development projects.
The expansion supports the development of display applications that require high optical performance, manufacturing reliability and lower-emission production processes.
