Würth Elektronik expands MagI³C VDMM MicroModule family with pin compatible 1 A, 2 A and 3 A variants
Würth Elektronik has expanded its MagI³C VDMM power module line with three new pin compatible MicroModules delivering 1 ampere, 2 amperes and 3 amperes of adjustable step down power. Designed for input voltages from 2.5 to 5.5 volts and output voltages from 0.6 to 4 volts, the modules achieve up to 96 percent peak efficiency and operate with a quiescent current of only 4 microamperes, making them suitable for battery powered designs and compact embedded systems.

Each VDMM module integrates a full DC DC architecture including switching regulator, MOSFETs, controller, compensation network and a shielded inductor in a 3.5, 3.5, 1.5 millimeter LGA 9 package. Built in protection covers thermal overload, overcurrent, short circuit and undervoltage. Automatic transitions between pulse frequency modulation and pulse width modulation optimize efficiency and voltage ripple across the full load range. A dedicated pin allows resting mode activation, while Power GOOD and EN functions enable sequencing behaviors.
The modules are designed for point of load applications supporting DSPs, FPGAs, MCUs, MPUs, I O interfaces and instrumentation. With Class B compliance under EN55032 for radiated emissions and an operating range from minus 40 to 105 degrees Celsius, they fit demanding automotive adjacent, industrial and medical designs. All variants are available from stock, with free samples on request.
