With the rebranding of its European businesses, Trapeze Group has created four new public transport technology brands: ebblo, Nexfeld, Grampian Solutions and Naviquate. These rebrands encompass the Trapeze businesses providing Intermodal Transport Control Systems, Fixed Route Planning and Scheduling, Bus Driver Allocation and Bus Services Data Management/Passenger Information.
In ebblo, Trapeze has consolidated its expertise in Intermodal Transport Control Systems (ITCS) and demonstrates accelerated investment in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Vehicle-to-everything (V2X), and cloud-based architectures, enhancing core capabilities including operations control, passenger information, on-board systems, and business intelligence, while promoting interoperability through standard interfaces. Grampian Solutions is the new name for "Trapeze Group UK Commercial". Founded in Aberdeen over 40 years ago as Grampian Software, the business was later acquired by Trapeze Group UK. It specialises in duty allocation and driver management technology and provide the tools and expertise that help bus operators allocate work safely, remain compliant, and ensure drivers are paid accurately and on time. The company states it supports 85% of UK bus operators. At the heart of Grampian Solutions is DAS Anywhere, a platform that connects depot teams, drivers, and operational leaders through intuitive, mobile-first technology. “Reintroducing the Grampian name is both a nod to our heritage and a signal of our ambition,” said Antony Chilton-Murphy, General Manager of Grampian Solutions.
Trapeze Group UK Public is rebranded into Naviquate. It is a fully integrated suite, distributed in the UK and Ireland, and spans journey planning, ticketing, operations and publicity management and real-time passenger information with the aim to give authorities and operators a continuous, end-to-end view of their networks. Laura Pappi, General Manager of Naviquate, said: “Our technology has supported UK and Ireland networks for many years. With this new identity, we’re placing a sharper spotlight on our purpose: giving cities and operators the intelligence and agility they need to deliver outstanding public transport.” Nexfeld is the fourth new brand and is a provider of Fixed Route Planning and Scheduling for bus and rail operators. Its main offices are located in Germany, Denmark and Norway.
