Toshiba and IAV to Co-Develop Virtual Validation Tools for AD/ADAS Systems – Including Bus Applications

Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation and IAV Group have announced a strategic collaboration to co-develop virtual validation technologies for automated driving (AD) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), with a focus on scalability, certification readiness, and AI-driven scenario generation.

For bus OEMs and technology suppliers, the move signals a step forward in enabling safer, more efficient development of Level 3+ autonomous driving capabilities, relevant for depot automation, urban navigation, and future fleet operations.

The partnership will integrate:

• Toshiba’s VenetDCP distributed co-simulation platform
• IAV’s AI-driven scenario generation tools, including IAV Mela

Together, they aim to create validation solutions aligned with international homologation needs — supporting the virtual testing of complex ADAS stacks and system architectures increasingly used in next-gen commercial vehicles.
