Busworld Southeast Asia 2026 took place in Jakarta from May 20 to 22, bringing together companies from across the bus and coach industry to present technologies and solutions for electric buses, core components and intelligent transportation systems.
Foshan Shunde Taichang Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd., known as TCHAIN, participated in the event with a range of bus air conditioning products and integrated HVAC solutions. The company, which has more than 30 years of experience in bus air conditioning, presented its portfolio for electric, diesel and built in bus climate control applications.
aaBooth B3D2-10: bus air conditioning solutions for multiple applications
Under the theme “Efficient Bus Air Conditioning Solutions,” TCHAIN presented three core product lines at booth B3D2-10: electric bus air conditioners, engine driven diesel bus air conditioners and built in bus air conditioners.
The product range is designed to support different commercial vehicle air conditioning and interior system requirements, including urban public transport, intercity passenger transport, school buses and special vehicles.
aaOne of the highlighted products was TCHAIN’s rooftop electric bus air conditioning unit. According to the company, the unit combines a compact design with high cooling performance and reduced energy consumption. The series uses R410A refrigerant and is compatible with a DC420 to 720V voltage range, supporting integration with common electric bus power systems in Southeast Asia.
The unit is designed for high temperature and high humidity operating environments, which are common across the region. For bus operators and manufacturers, this makes cooling performance, reliability and energy use important factors in HVAC selection.
Product portfolio for the Southeast Asian market
TCHAIN states that it has developed more than 60 air conditioning products for 6 to 14 metre buses. The company also notes that it supplies products for Chinese bus manufacturers including Yutong, King Long, CRRC, BYD and Geely.

aaAccording to TCHAIN, visitors discussed topics such as local adaptation and after sales service systems with the technical team. The company also reported preliminary cooperation discussions during the event.
Southeast Asia and bus HVAC demand
Southeast Asia continues to see demand for public transport infrastructure development and new energy bus applications. For suppliers of bus HVAC systems, the region presents specific technical requirements linked to high ambient temperatures, humidity, operating hours and energy consumption.
TCHAIN stated that it will continue strengthening cooperation with local companies in Southeast Asia, following regional market requirements and adapting its products to local operating conditions.
For bus and coach manufacturers, HVAC systems remain a critical component area, particularly as electric bus deployment grows. Air conditioning systems must support passenger comfort while limiting their impact on vehicle energy consumption and range.
