At Busworld Europe 2025, Eberspaecher will present major updates to its thermal management portfolio, including propane-compatible HVAC systems, intelligent heat utilization, and remote service capabilities.
The AC138 EVO, now in series production, features a patented heat pump using CO₂ (R744) and will also support propane (R290) by 2026 to boost performance in high temperatures. Its simplified air circuit and energy recovery features reduce weight while maximizing efficiency. Meanwhile, the expanded AC135 family offers modular HVAC solutions from 25 to 50 kW for all bus types, including electric and intercity models. Propane-compatible variants will also roll out in 2026, anticipating EU restrictions on PFAS and synthetic refrigerants.
Eberspaecher also debuts the Hydro Control System, a centralized thermal controller that recycles waste heat from critical components like batteries and drivetrains. This reduces energy demand by up to 23%, extending vehicle range and optimizing component longevity.
All systems are supported by E-Control, a central digital interface that enables real-time data transfer via the cloud. Through the e-connected platform, operators gain access to OTA updates, predictive maintenance, and centralized fleet monitoring—minimizing downtime and improving lifecycle management.
